Ok. here is it. My first Blog.
After much deliberation I just decided to start a blog to store the rants and raves that are going on in my head and are to large for twitter. I hold a lot of opinions that may seem extreme but are founded on arguments and thus are thought provoking. Always remember that those opinions are theory and may be something totally different from what I do in practice.
Diary
I never kept a diary before, but I always wanted to. It's the only defense one has against history and those who come later. And that even includes me, because I tend to forget details about situations making some logical decision look stupid.
Disclaimer
This being a public opinion piece, I'll try to not alienate future employers, lovers and friend. Then again, like everybody I'm a different person to different people, situations dictate actions. If somebody is so thick headed that he or she can't differentiate between my blogging persona and real live, I rather lose that person and be closer to the once that do appreciate me. Of course this also means that my opinions are my own and not necessarily shared by my employers and the people around me.
Languages
Than a little about language. First up, like many techies I have a form of word blindness that makes me a terrible speller. Please don't comment on my spelling because it wont help. Many, many people tried and it only annoyed. It does enable me to read very fast, though.
Second I'm multilingual and this blog will be multilingual. I´ll use English for technical stuff, Dutch for social pieces and maybe a little German for things pertaining to remodeling my house. I´ll use the tags to differentiate between them. I have considered splitting it into multiple blogs, but I will only do that if it proves to be confusing and there is enough content to split.
So that's it.
I stated my intentions, hope I can follow up on it.
